Evening Everyone.

I hope those of you that are in the UK are enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend? Firstly I wanna say Happy Birthday to Todd whose Birthday it is Wednesday next week. Happy Birthday from all of us here in the UK.

I've had a busy week really. I was on early shift so had lots of time to chill out in the afternoons. Although my boss is off work sick right now which has left me with so much work and crap to deal with I could do without it right now! I met up with Aaron on Tuesday night and we went for coffee in Soho which was cool then we went onto the village for a few more drinks.

I was hoping I might be in Paris right now typing this Blog as Aaron was going with his work for a few days expenses paid trip but instead he decided to take someone else with him which gave me the 'ump' but never mind. Ever since I read the Da'vinci code book I have wanted to go visit Paris again. I went there years ago with Ralf and di'nt like it much but this book has got me intrigued to go all over again. I might drag myself there on the Eurostar soon. Talking about the Da'Vinci code I wanna recommend ALL the Dan Brown books I am seriously addicted and have never read a book so fast as I have been reading them. He really keeps you hooked and I can't stop until I have finished the book. So if your at a loose end go by them or get them out the library they are worth it!

Angels and Demons,
Digital Fortress,
Da'Vinci Code,
Deception Point.

The bathroom is starting to look really good. He has put half a dozen tiles on the wall and I can see it starting to look like a proper bathroom again. It has been a real chore since the shower got ripped out I am having to get up (4am as I was on earlies) get changed, go to work then shower at work. Do the whole day at work then come home and have a horrible bath! I hate baths! Hopefully it will be finished sometime next week? Fingers crossed I cant wait to have a nice long shower again!

I went and got my hair cut on Friday afternoon, my hairdress Kelly is going to get married next week and is then off on a luxury safari somewhere for 4 weeks so she won't be about and I don't like anyone else cutting my hair! So I had to get in to see her early. It looks ok maybe a bit too short for me but it'll grow back.

I can't believe that I have put on a whole stone in weight in just one week! I really can't stop eating which I think is good because I should be about 12 stone and am NOW only just 9 stone. So maybe I'll keep going until I get to 12 he he or maybe I'll keep going and try to be like Rick Waller.

On Thursday I met up wit Simon and Tasha. We went out to Chelmsford which is the nearest big town to me where I live. We decided upon Pizza Hut in town but it was bloody awful. LOL It's a bit of a running joke between us that wherever we go the service always seems to be bad! And it did'nt get much worse than the Pizza Hut. They got the orders wrong, were rude and to top it all tried to overcharge us! Never mind we always have a good laugh when we get together. Simon had a massive stuffed crust pizza with so many toppings on it. It was huge! I had a normal hawaiin medium deep pan pizza, which was nice. Thanks to Tasha who read my blog and put a comment in it is much appreciated. I am only allowed to attach a piccy of the food because apparently she is too fat due to the pregnancy for me to take pictures of her. So the picture will have to wait until after the birth! He He.. Although when the baby is due in October I think we might have to have a baby blog with piccy's of the birth? What you reckon? Might be quite gross but i'm sure you lot would love to see the pics?

I went out with one of my friends on Saturday. Nas wanted to go buy an alo vera plant so he could smear it all over his skin, which seemed odd to me at the time but hey I'm always up for an adventure. So we went to loads of different places until we found them at Homebase BUT when we broke off a leave and tried it the smell was awful, and it did'nt seem right so if any of you have green fingers and know about these things then let me know and I can tell him so he can get the right plant.

We had a nice evening anyway, we decided not to get take away and went to Sainsbury's instead where I had white mans curry (Chicken Tikka) and he had some steamed vegetable things! Very vegetarian!

On Sunday I met up with Tom and Guy. Tom's cat Bruno past away in the week and he really needed to be cheered up so Guy thought it would be a nice idea if we all went out for dinner and treated Tom. I think we managed to cheer him up. We ate at TGI Fridays in Bluewater. I had a nice prime fillet steak with cheesy mash and green fried beans for starters. (All I ever seem to talk about is food?) We had a real laugh and we go to do some shopping too. I think Tom seemed ok but he tends to keep his cards close to his chest so you never quite know what he's really thinking.

I managed to buy a few more clothes for my hiking hols in the Lake District which is'nt far away now (9th September). As it's Bank Holiday some of the sales have started. I got myself a very nice anorak and a new ruck sack. I also got a few new jumpers from River Island and a new pair of combat type trousers from Timberland. I did'nt really fancy hiking long distances in jeans, they aint very comfortable or flexible. So I think I'm pretty much prepared for the bad weather! I can't wait to go. I really need this week off away from everything, it'll be a good chance for me to relax and have some 'me' time.

Well I think thats about it from me this week. I've got to be up early to take my Nan and Grandad off on their hols tomorrow morning, they are going to Wales to a place called Tenby. Bobby looks like he is ready for bed too so goodnight from the both of us and have a great week, whatever you do.

Good evening everybody,

It's been a quiet week this week. Not much been going on, I was on a late shift at work so don't get much time to chill and do stuff when thats happening.

Have made a step closer to finishing off my bathroom. I am very excited. With the help of my interior designer (Mum) I went out today and got me some tiles! They are very nice actually. I decided to go for matt effect. So they are'nt shiny, they are kinda grey looking so will match up with the white bath suite that I have. I went out on Saturday with my Mum to B&Q and we looked at all the wall tiles and also floor tiles too. I have decided to tile the floor as well so it'll look really smart when it's done. Hopefully gonna crack on with it all sometime this or next week. Maybe the Bank Holiday weekend would be a good time? I needed over 15m of tiles to do the whole bathroom but I think even more of a shock than that was that tiles are so bloody heavy! As you can see from the pic below the car boot was absolutely jam packed with them.

I was invited over to Guys place in LittleHampton on Saturday night for a dinner party. It is the first time that Guy has cooked a meal for me so I was'nt too sure what I was gonna get or what it was going to be like. I was pleasantly suprised. I was'nt the only person invited to the dinner. Babs and her husband Richard were there and also Tom of course. We had a really nice evening. Guy is a very good cook and host, I guess he gets that from his mother. We had home made lasagne which was delicious and for dessert we had home made Banoffee pic. Which was mmmmmmmmmmm very tasty.

On Sunday evening I went out to the West End and met with Aaron. We went to a coffee shop and had a long chat about stuff and then went on to a bar called the Village in Soho for a few more drinks.

I am up early tomorrow, I am on a double shift! Which aint much fun. 12 hours is a long day but atleast I have a day off on Tuesday to recover.

Hope your all ok, thats all for this week. Thanks for reading,
Stu

Afternoon everyone,

It's been a strange week. Work has been pretty crap and to top it all the weather has been pretty miserable I think everyday this week I have managed to get soaked through by the rain! But on the plus side I would say that I prefer it to be rainy and overcast than the 100 degrees f we were having end of last month.

I managed to have two days off this week. I wasn't working on the weekend so managed to have a long weekend off. I had plenty of plans for those days off though.

On Monday I had to take my new old car to the garage for a service. It didn't need much doing to it but I wanted him to be running perfectly for when I go Lake district for my hols in September.

On Wednesday I had the plasterer here to re-plaster the ceilings in my Bathroom and Kitchen. They really needed to be done, they were holding back the decorating plans I had. The Kitchen and Bathroom are the only two rooms inside the house I need to decorate. I have tossed a coin and decided that the bathroom will be the first room I will take on as my little mission. As you can see from the pictures they look pretty good, I'm very pleased with the job they did. It's amazing how they get that stuff to stick to the ceiling and then get it so smooth!

On Thursday evening after work. Aaron took me out for dinner which was really nice. We went to the Cinnamon Club in St.Perters St. SW1 just down the road from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. It was quite swanky inside and made a change from Mc.Donalds or Pasta LOL....The restaurant is quite out of the way it is in Westminsters old public library and was a really lovely old building. It had all wood paneled walls and tall ceilings surrounded by book cases high above your head filled with books. The food was lovely. I had old style Delhi Curry and for dessert sorbet ice cream. I don't think I've ever had a curry that was so expensive, it was very nice but at £16 it should have been. It was nice to catch up with Aaron since he left my place we don't see much of each other.

I unfortunately had to work Saturday this week which has ruined my weekend but I only have to work every other Saturday which isn't too bad right now but it interferes with my social life quite a lot.

On Sunday me and my Mum went to do some shopping. I had to take my mobile phone back to the 3 mobile shop because it has decided to finally crash and break down on me. Which is very convenient seeings I keep all my numbers on there and don't have anything written down! Also I use it for taking pictures for my blog (reason why there aren't many this week). We took my phone back and did some shopping for her in Debenhams. They have got 70% off most things right now so it's worth going down there and checking it out. Then it was off to Wickes and Tops Tiles to look at possible cobinations of tiles for my bathroom. I am not 100% sure what I want yet but it gave me an idea of the price etc... I will put the choices up on here when i eventually decide what i like and you can all let me know what you think?

Am on Late shift all next week, but atleast I get the weekend off. I am already making plans. Think I will be going to Guys for dinner Saturday and then seeing Aaron on sunday.

Now I value all of your opinions on this next thing so please leave me some comments. I have been growing a little beard/goatee and have been getting a mixed response from various people but I know you'll all be honest with me. (Whether I take any notice of what you all say is another thing) he he Well take a look at the pic below and let me know what you reckon.

Ok think thats all this week. Not much to chat about this week. I hope next week will be a bit more interesting and exciting. so make sure you come back and check out whats been happening am off to my bed it is calling me!

Nite

Stuey.

Why is it that when you just think everything is going peachy something turns up and throws a spanner in the works? I think God must have a very sick sense of humour or a very bad sense of timing. Perhaps I just have too many skeletons in my closet?Anyway enough babbling on about rubbish. Lets get onto business....

It's been another busy weekend for me. I have travelled up and down the country and probably done over 400 miles in the last two days alone. I had a busy week at work. Was on a late shift which was awful, there were too many people off on hols so I could'nt even take a day off!

Something really strange happened to me on Thursday night. It was one of those chance things I think when two peoples paths cross and your meant to meet. I was travelling home from work on the train reading my book as usual when the train had technical problems. It was funny but me and this lady got chatting as we were the only ones in the carriage. She was 83 years old and a totally amazing woman. She telling me all about her life and how so much has happened in the 83 years she has lived. Planes, trains, space, t.v. ,technology and how she has taken advantage of it all the best she could. It got me thinking about stuff. All the usual sorts of things about life being short and that you should certainly make the most of it but more importantly how these older people are just forgotten about when they reach a certain age. Why is it that we continue to make the same mistakes they made? Simply because we don't listen to those older people. I reckon a good idea would be kinda like a public service for these older people once they reach retirment age. so for example they get to 60 or 65 and then go work in a company for a year or two where they can give there experience and life skills to everyone. Everyone would be a winner, the older folk would feel valued and the work force and companies would benefit too.

Saturday I was in Liverpool helping a friend move apartments. The place is really beautiful and as you can see from the pics below really old. (I'm sure Todd will love this bit) It used to be an old boy's school first built in 1843 by a chap called Harvey Lonsdale Elmes. It is called the Collegiate and it was stood empty and unused for many years. Until 2001 when it was converted into flats. I have been amazed just how many old buildings that are as breath taking as this one are just sat around Liverpool crumbling. It is a real shame.

The building has remained very much the same but amazingly they have built these beautiful apartments inside the building. Keeping the external looks of the building, the main stairways, fireplaces etc....but have created 100 apartments. It is really nice inside the apartments. They are predominantly one and two bedroom places, all open plan with massive ceilings which means they can have the bed high up on a mezzaline floor. Really amazing place to live as it is only one minute from the city centre.

On Sunday after only having a few hours to recover from my travels I met up with Tom and Guy. We decided to go to Lakeside Shopping centre which is always a laugh. Tom will drag us to all these shops to juts like smell things and touch clothes and not actually buy anything. LOL (You know I love you Tom) I had to buy a few Birthday pressies. I managed to get what i needed to get anyway. I could'nt ask for better friends than Tom and Guy, they always cheer me up.

I could'nt believe that they managed to turn up more than on time today but actually 15 minutes Early! I really was'nt expecting to see them until lunchtime. It's a bit of a long running joke that they never make it on time and that I always add an extra hour onto their expected ETA. I think I'm expected to pay them a compliment but I'm not gonna (he he) they should never be late it's rude!

The shopping centre was quiet I expected it to be busier but I think because of the sun shining outside everyone went to the sea side instead.

Dvd of the week this week was Exorcist, the beggining. I was expecting it to be really crap but I was really suprised that I enjoyed it. It was'nt as good as the first exorcist movie but I would deffinately recommend it. If you like the whole horror thing then watch it. It had some good effects and a decent storyline. I'm gonna give it 3 stuey stars

Well thats about all for this week I think. Not been upto a great deal but then i've spent most of it in the car. Which was a great drive, I took a bit of risk driving all that way in a car that I only owned for a couple of weeks. My little baby goes into the garage tomorrow to be serviced and tuned so hopefully he will be ready for our little adventure to the Lake District in Septmeber.. Hope your all well and happy.

I know Raks is not very well right now so I wish him better.....xxxxx

Lots of love Stu.
